Over the past ten days, my anxiety has been particularly intense, peaking yesterday, which was my father's birthday (he passed away six years ago). I decided to follow my own advice and go for a walk, just to move a little and clear my head. While I was out, I heard a quote on a podcast that said: "Who told you life was supposed to be easy?" It may sound a little empty at first, but it really made me think. Because it’s true. We often live with this idea that things should be simpler, easier. And yet, life is incredibly difficult. Work stress, raising children, building a project, navigating complicated relationships... We can waste a lot of time and energy wishing things were different, dwelling on what’s beyond our control. Or... we can choose to become more resilient. We can choose to see each difficulty as a learning opportunity. It's a bit like being on a yoga mat: by falling, trying again, and falling some more, your body learns how to balance. It gets stronger, adapts, and little by little, you start to hold that pose just a bit longer. Life works the same way. Every failure is a lesson that helps you face the next challenge with a little more ease. Personally, with Yoga with Clem, I’ve faced dozens of failures before every small success. And even though it’s tough sometimes, those experiences have taught me that I’m more resilient than I once believed. So if you’re going through a hard time right now, I just want to remind you: you’re learning, you’re growing, and you’re getting stronger. Soon, you’ll have the tools to face what’s ahead with more confidence and calm. Take care, Om, peace 🧡 Clem |
I'm a bilingual yoga teacher who helps people who sit a lot gain mobility, move without pain and reduce their stress.
If you've ever been mid-yoga session and heard a loud crack from your knee, a pop in your shoulder, or an unexpected sound from somewhere lower 🫢 you're in good company. Body noises during practice are incredibly common, and they're one of those things people quietly wonder about but rarely ask. So let's talk about it! The three types of sounds that can come from your joints (and when to worry) The first is cavitation: the same mechanism behind knuckle cracking (btw, it used to be so common...
I recently discovered a scientific field that is as little known to the general public as it is fascinating, and I really wanted to tell you about it today! The fascinating world of epigenetics So, as you probably already know, we are born with a unique set of genes (unless you have an identical twin or a clone). But these genes are a potential. They're a set of possibilities, some of which get expressed and some of which don't, depending largely on your environment and your lifestyle. Twins...
When someone gets a herniated/slipped disc diagnosis, the instinct is almost always to stop moving, be careful and wait for it to pass. I get it, the last thing we want is to make it worse. But it's also exactly what we shouldn't do. When the balance in a region of the spine is disrupted, the surrounding muscles compensate. They have to work harder, so they fatigue and become irritated. But also, your nervous system is on high alert. The whole area has become flagged as a threat. And if we...
