(I heard about from a mentor of mine called Ella, the Fitness Psych.) It's pretty simple. The idea is to manage our energy: we want to make sure we take care of ourselves so we can deal with the demands of our life. But we also don't want to put too much pressure on ourselves, and have our self-care become another chore on our plate. How do we do that?Try and find 3 manageable habits that you will commit to, without tracking them. What it can look like (just an example):
I choose the 3 habits that have the most impact for me (slow mornings, nourishing food, enough sleep), but you might pick something else. The main idea behind this is to avoid our tendency to throw every act of self-care out of the window because we feel like we are too busy. Anything is always better than nothing.
